On May 4, 2017, Snapchat launched a new self-service Ad Manager for buying Snap Ads. The new advertising tool is perfect for small businesses with lower budgets, seeing as Ad Manager is free of cost and has no mark-ups.
The self-service Ad Manager will enable advertisers to buy, manage and track their advertising campaigns that are run on all Snap Ad types, such as video, app install, and web view. Additionally, a mobile dashboard will allow the advertisers to view their ads as users would, check the analytics, and receive key metric notifications regarding their campaign. This analytical tool is useful for advertisers as it is easily accessible and conveniently available on any mobile device. Lastly, Snapchat will launch Business Manager along with the other two features. This tool will make the administrative duties, such as organizing the tasks of the various team members and billing contacts much simpler.
Currently, Snapchat is testing Ad Manager with 20 businesses, but other businesses are welcome to join the testing phase as well. Other businesses and Snapchat users in many countries, including Canada and the United States, can expect to see Ad Manager in June.
